After finding out I had cancer, I spent several days at home surrounded by close friends and family. I basically cried for 2 days straight. I am not going to go into too much detail about this time, but I will say that I have an amazing family, including two sisters in Andrea and Dart. All the support and love I feel is really the silver lining.
Alison’s Bio
At age 34, I was diagnosed with stage 1B breast cancer. I am trying to learn to live one day at a time and am using this journey to help me find inner peace. I am married to a wonderful guy. I have friends who are like family and family who are like friends. I have a big goofy lab named Tiggy who keeps me laughing. I like spending time near coastal areas and being creative. I hope to do more of that in the future. I am really lucky. Wishing everyone health, peace, love and happiness. Love, AlRSS

I can’t stop crying. I’m so sorry for what is happening to you and your family, Alison. I am amazed by your upbeat attitude and strength to write this blog. Thank you for sharing, for making us appreciate every day, healthcare, wonderful husbands, sweet dogs and of course the rest of the network of friends & family that make up our good fortune. I wish you all the best – a swift, painless and complete recovery. I have a friend who did have the genes BRCA 1 or 2 and opted to preemptively remove both breasts. It was the darkest year I’ve seen her have but she closed herself off from everyone. GOOD FOR YOU that you are letting in the light and love by sharing here. I love you. Shakti
