Thanks Threespot.

I work at Threespot (check us out, we are pretty awesome: http://www.threespot.com/)

The folks at Threespot have been bringing me meals, fruit and flowers twice a week since my surgery. It is time I gave a shout out on the blog. I have given individual thanks, but here is a great big THANKS. This isn’t hamburger helper either, Threespot is home to a talented bunch of creative individuals, who it turns out, are also great cooks (lucky me).

I didn’t want to have to single anyone out, but this is too good not to share. One of my fellow spots, Robert, stopped by with his talented partner Richard earlier this week. Richard cultivated this moss garden for me, and it might be one of the best gifts I have ever received. C’mon!

    We love you, Alison!

Chuck, I think you are responsible for the organic chicken sausage and peppers aren’t you? My dad and I were actually fighting (lovingly of course) over the last serving (I have the cancer, so I got to eat it) 🙂 Awesome dish.

      • Al's Mom says:

Chuck, I was there and can testify to this! I think Al’s Dad’s exact words were, “I could eat that every day for the rest of my life.” …Yup, even with a comment like that, Al got the last serving. I was never even in the running!

  2. Lisa Hagerty (Alison's Aunt and a big, big fan) says:

Thanks Threespot from the relatives who can’t be there to provide weekly meals and visits. I’m envious of your proximity to my gem of a niece.
Love you Al. Keep up this amazing journal. You’re an amazing woman and a great writer..Intelligent, witty and open – and did I mention very brave – facing your fears calmly….while your heart is racing – Hope to see you very soon. xoxo L

This moss garden will remind you that sometimes healing & growth is slow, but it is always sure – always. You are healing, Alison. Ask your mom & dad who I am – we haven’t seen each other for a long time. Your blog is informative, interesting, and sometimes makes me cry or laugh or both.

Hi Alison – just wanted to let you know that I’m thinking about you everyday and so grateful for your blog which just lays it out there – the good, the bad and the ugly. It sounds like you have an amazing group of friends, doctors, colleagues and of course family to help you down this bumpy road – ’cause that’s what it takes – a whole lot of love, support, patience, humor and just plain endurance (not to mention the great food which it looks like the Threespot team has more than covered!) All our love, xxooxx Amy

  6. Margaret G. says:

    The garden is lovely.

Thinking about you all the time.
I don’t know how to say this without wanting to apologize for how cheesy it may sound – but you are truly an inspiration. Strong, eloquent – amazing.
