Alison’s Bio
At age 34, I was diagnosed with stage 1B breast cancer. I am trying to learn to live one day at a time and am using this journey to help me find inner peace. I am married to a wonderful guy. I have friends who are like family and family who are like friends. I have a big goofy lab named Tiggy who keeps me laughing. I like spending time near coastal areas and being creative. I hope to do more of that in the future. I am really lucky. Wishing everyone health, peace, love and happiness. Love, AlRSS

Cancer time bomb?
I actually hesitated to write this post thinking future employers or insurance companies might read this and discriminate against me, but then I thought what the hell. A yearly trip to my gynecologist proved to be rather stressful. Dr. Shuster … Continue reading

Caring for caregivers.
All things considered I had it pretty good. My wonderful parents were near-by and at my side at every turn. My husband kept steady and calmed me down when I needed calming. My brother performed healing rituals on me that … Continue reading

My first haircut after chemo.
So my original plan was to get a haircut in March, but I decided to wait another month before getting my first official cut. It is amazing how something like getting a haircut can make you feel a little bit … Continue reading
